Local Grief Group Starting in July

WHAT: Hospice of Mercy will be sponsoring a local weekly grief group starting July 19, 2010 in Durango. This group is limited to 10 participants and is for adults who have experienced the loss of a spouse. Many people have experienced a grief group as a safe, supportive place to talk about a loved one, to be compassionately heard, and to find ways to cope with the experience of grief. Topics covered will include:  grief education, coping with grief, anniversaries and special days, normalizing your feelings, etc.  More importantly, this is a confidential, supportive group that allows you to have your own personal experience. Participation is open to all community members.

WHEN: Mondays, starting July 19, 2010 through September 6, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Christ The King Lutheran Church, 495 Florida Road, Durango, CO 81301

COST:  No cost and open to all community members.
